Chinese New Year 2008 : After travelling up the west coast from Taichung (台中) and passing through the Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山國家公園), we spent the first night of the trip at Jinguashi (金瓜石) near the former gold-mining town of Jiufen (九份) .

Hehuanshan and East Coast (July 2008) : With clear skies forecast island wide, I decided to take advantage of the excellent weather and head over to the east coast for a couple of days. I left Taichung (台中) at 5:00 in the morning and after breakfast at Chingjing (清境), I continued along the Central-Cross Highway (中橫公路) towards Hehuanshan (合歡山).

West Fest 08, 2 weeks on the bike thru 7 national parks too! : The Annual summer bike trip, this year taking us through 7 national parks, and 7 states in 14 days! The national parks seen include- Death Valley, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Grand Canyon- North Rim, and Yosemite. We also visited the 4 corners, and took our bikes over Engineer Pass from Ouray to Lake City, CO which took us to West Fest 08 :) Many of the photos here are from "adventurecam" which means lots of photos of what I saw from the highway... (sorry for the abundance of redundant photos!) Many of the "good" photos are mixed in... all in chronological order, so you can see the landscape change as I travel.
